Jonathan Brewster is the leader of the Student Ministry at The Crossing Baptist Church. He has grown up in church his whole life, always knowing what it meant to be a Christian. After years of going through the motions he realized that he needed to get real about his faith and to stop living his life for his own desires. On November 13th, 2010 he fully committed himself to the Lord on the concrete floor of a camp in Dayton, Ohio. He considers that place to be his tombstone, the place where the old Jonathan Brewster died and he became a new creation in Christ.
In High School, Jonathan felt a call to ministry. In July of 2014, he was voted to become the leader of the student ministry. Jonathan has always loved lock-ins and making up crazy games, which has become an integral part of his ministry. Jonathan is a manager at Dairy Queen and a full-time student at Marshall University. He plans to become a bi-vocational pastor, working as a pastor in the church as well as a being a Speech Language Pathologist.
Jonathan is in love with Jesus Christ, whose unending grace saved him from a path of destruction and led him into righteousness. Jonathan's mission is to share this grace with everyone and to see the Kingdom of God continue to grow. God has given Jonathan a beautiful fiance, Sarah Conner. She is a perfect partner for him in ministry.
On Sunday mornings, the students meet before church to discuss the things they have been reading in the Bible, ask questions, and fellowship together. Wednesday nights, the students join in a worship service designed to be down-to-earth enough for new Christians, while also challenging individuals who have been Christians for years.
